I was wondering if I wouldn't make a techno track anymore. Because of the huge impact of COVID-19 this time around, DJ BAR, CLUB, economic disparity issues in society as a whole, political distrust, or into #stayhome. I could't make like a chill out music along #stayhome while being updated daily with excessive tuning justice pressure.

"LIKE IT - original mix" sampled from THE POWER STATION "Some Like It Hot" ('85). It was made for a split album Jun Yamabe & Enitokwa
“BISAI” (www.junodownload.com/products/jun-yamabe-enitokwa-bisai/) which was released by Greek KLIK RECORDS in 2007, but it hasn't in the album.

My close friend HIROSHI WATANABE aka KAITO has been going on play the track for 15 years, and he had given me a call me he played this track at the Zao Ski Jump World Cup women's venue in this February. Then came the attack of COVID-19. At the same time my new home ground called "sound space α” in Kitakyushu made me re-ignited techno music again. As a result, it became a sequel to LIKE IT (2005) and it was named “LIKE IT-version 2.020.

Also, from this year, I have the DSD recorder and release the first high-res audio source. I have prepared two types, 44.1k-24bit and 88.2k-24bit mastered by kabamix (LMD). The 88.2k version comes with tool A (drone) and tool B (bass). I think that the difference of sound is difficult to understand in a normal listening environment, a system with a reasonable resolution and a high volume reproduction can be seen in the difference in sound compression. (let's discuss some other time there's reason why not 96k or 192k.)

もう所謂テクノトラックは作らないであろうと思っていましたが、今回の COVID-19による多大なる影響による身近なDJ BAR、CLUBだけでなく社会全体が抱える経済問題、政治不信または#stayhomeに集約される過度な同調正義圧力など日々更新される最中　#stayhomeに寄り添うような音にはとても心が向かずこのようなテクノトラックになりました。

2007年にギリシャKLIK RECORDSより発売されたスプリットアルバムJun Yamabe & Enitokwa “BISAI” www.junodownload.com/products/jun-yamabe-enitokwa-bisai/ の為に製作したものの最終的に収録されなかったTHE POWER STATION “Some Like It Hot” (’85)をサンプリングしたディープテクノトラック ”LIKE IT” という曲があり、 30年来の友人でもあるHIROSHI WATANABE aka KAITOが15年間かけ続けてくれています。今冬も蔵王スキージャンプワールドカップ女子の会場でかけたよと連絡を貰ったのが今年の2月。それからのCOVID-19の襲来。折しも仕事の都合で北九州拠点となりホームグラウンドとなったsound space αの影響でテクノ熱が再燃していた時期と重なり、自然にテクノトラックの制作に向かいました。結果、LIKE IT (2005年)の続編的な曲となりましたので “LIKE IT - version 2.020としました。

また、今年からDSD レコーダーを導入し、初のハイレゾ音源でのリリースです。kabamix (LMD)のマスタリングが施された44.1k-24bit と 88.2k-24bitの二種を用意しました。88.2k版にはtool A (drone) とtool B (bass)がついて来ます。音の違いは通常のリスニング環境ではわかりづらいと思いますが、それなりの解像度があるシステム、大音量で再生すれば音のコンプレッションの違いがすぐにわかります。(96kや192kではない理由はまた別の機会に。)

LIKE IT - ORIGINAL MIXも soundspacealpha.bandcamp.com からリリースされました。両方ともお楽しみ頂ければ幸いです。
